‘Customer care is our daily top priority’

My team works on handling requests from our customers and partners. These questions range from administrative cases to complex fraud cases. We try to help our customers as quickly as possible to provide all the necessary information.

The team of the Operations department consists of a range of specialists with daily focus on the customer. We understand the regulations of credit card brands such as Visa and Mastercard. We are therefore able to help anyone in a timely manner; a unique service in our business.

As Supervisor I make sure that the focus on the customer remains a constant presence, in this department and beyond. I coach and  help my colleagues to perform at their best and make a difference for our customers.
The great diversity of nationalities at EMS makes it a great company to work for. We work in a fantastic building with lots of light and great views. As a team we have fun and get the job done!

A part of my job at EMS is to advise our clients about credit card fraud. We advise and help customers to avoid problems and identify fraud. A rewarding job which offers me great satisfaction.

A nice part of my job is that I have a very wide range of tasks, with a lot of freedom. We work in a small team: the team manager has a helicopter view of our department and expects that everything runs smoothly. A responsible job with a healthy workload, at the same time EMS provides me all the tools to develop in my expertise.

EMS is a young and vibrant company where hierarchy does not dominate. That makes the work environment pleasant and relaxed. Everyone is very approachable. The lines within EMS are short and therefore we can serve our customers in a timely manner.

“EMS: nicely informal but professional nevertheless”

 

Partnerships is the department in charge of connecting and maintaining relationships with companies bringing added value to the EMS proposition. Whether it is an eCom Gateway, POS provider or reseller, Website builder, shopping cart or any other type of partner, we know them all. We are a small but young, independent and highly motivated team; always strategizing regarding existing and new players in the market whilst finding out their potential synergies with EMS.

One of my responsibilities as head of the department is to guide the Partnerships team to achieve our department and company goals. How do we do that? There is no way to see the big picture by staying within, therefore… we go out and find the best places to free our minds and come up with “out of the box” solutions.

Our partners are everywhere and the Partnerships team is where our partners are. Travelling, understanding other country’s business cultures and finding “win win” situations is part of our daily work.

EMS allows a department such as Partnerships to bring the most out of every deal we work on. A young atmosphere where the General Manager, as well as every member of the different departments, are willing to listen to new ideas and contribute constructively to shape them, is what characterizes EMS.  Coming originally from Latin-America, EMS is the perfect mix between the informality and flexibility from my culture, and the professionalism and accuracy from the Dutch one.

“Everyone gets the opportunity to develop at EMS.”

 

"Every day is different at EMS. 7 years ago when I started here, we had a team of 24 people. Meanwhile, we have reached 100 employees. This growth causes more daily work in the HR field. In my work I have to be flexible and organize the HR department.

As an HR manager, I’d like to help colleagues to make a difference. Everyone gets the opportunity to develop at EMS. EMS is currently in a process of change. Our employees are trained to improve services. Half of our employees have successfully completed the training. We are already seeing the first positive results!.

Working at EMS also means working in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Outside working hours are regularly arranged meetings, parties and outings. In short: work hard, play hard '!
