Would you like to lead both the Marketing and the (Commercial) Product Management Team of a dynamic, fast growing Fintech company being a First Data – ABN AMRO joint venture? European Merchant Services (EMS) offers a complete package of Omnichannel Payment Solutions both to SME and to (International) Corporate Clients; from Acquiring to POS terminals and our e-Commerce Gateway.

Getting the right things done!

  • Lead, develop, manage and inspire the Marketing (4 FTE) and Product Management (3 FTE) Teams, ensuring that performance is aligned to company values and business objectives.

  • Drive the transformation from technical towards commercial product management with a strong focus on Go-to-Market strategies.

  • Ensure complex technical products are translated into easy to sell, successful and distinctive propositions.

  • Develop a comprehensive payment product roadmap, in close cooperation with stakeholders, with clear performance benchmarks towards product success and customer acquisition.

  • Develop, implement and manage overall marketing strategy across direct and indirect channels.

  • Drive understanding of market potential and merchant buying behavior, and convert this into sales growth.

  • Own the P&L success of the product offering. Set targets for customer acquisition and establish a marketing budget across regions, channels and partners that will meet and exceed these goals.

  • Think and act out of the box to drive growth and to bring solutions to market in line with new market segments.

  • Act as a company spokesperson, both internally and externally.

  • Create Marketing Dashboards giving an at-a-glance view that quantifies the overall impact marketing has on the business and how marketing initiatives increase customer acquisition, retention, and sales.

  • Drive excellent collaboration with key stakeholders, both externally (i.e. First Data, ABN AMRO and Corporate Clients) and internally.


We would like you to have!

  • A Master degree, MBA is preferred;

  • At least 5 years of experience in a leading Marketing/ Product Management position, including: P&L management, market research, product roadmap development, product launch, product lifecycle management and driving growth;

  • Paytech and/or fintech experience is highly preferred;

  • Excellent understanding of digital commerce and digital marketing. Experience with marketing automation is preferred;

  • Experienced People Manager with strong leadership, motivating, inspiring and coaching skills;

  • Conceptual, strategic thinker with strong focus and ability to deliver;

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and well able to develop and manage effective relationships at (executive) level;   

  • Able to develop solid business cases;

  • Experienced in tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing activities, and in particular the effectiveness of the online sales channel;

  • Enormously market and client focused, quality-driven and  able to map plans and activities against the EMS vision;

  • Creative; well able to develop campaigns and to identify original solutions to emerging issues;

  • Exemplary influencing, advising, presentation and communication skills (verbal and written);

  • Able to define targets, priorities, resources, time required, and the actions to achieve goals;

  • Flexible and well able to operate successfully in periods of rapid growth and change.
