What this job is all about

Your core responsibility is to ensure Quality standards are met by performing Quality Control in order to prevent Financial Economic Crime such as Money Laundering, Terrorism Finance, Fraud, Regulatory and scheme Compliance risks to ensure that the KYC activities are executed in compliance with all the governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Getting the right things done!
As Quality Control Specialist the following will be part of your major tasks and responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Control reviews on KYC related files to ensure the KYC team meets internal standards;
  • Provide feedback in order to maintain the QC standards and encourage a First Time Right score;
  • Ensure that the Quality Control Framework is accurately applied and in accordance with applicable law and legislation;
  • Evaluate impact of new regulatory and internal requirements as a Subject Matter Expert;
  • Drive process improvements and implement process changes to improve Quality Control practices;
  • Maintain and implement KYC standards, procedures, policies and associated processes
  • Create and provide special trainings on a diverse range of KYC topics to increase the team efficiency and quality;
  • Regularly interact with key stakeholders such as 2nd LoD (Compliance), delivering insights on the Quality Control feedback results.

What do you bring to the table?

What do you need to be successful at our organization? Well, you have to enjoy changing gears quickly and getting your teeth into complex projects. Do you also feel at home in an ambitious, service-oriented environment where you work together with other passionate colleagues to make continual improvements, both externally for our commercial clients and internally? Key requirements for the role of Quality Control Specialist are strong communication skills, great analytical skills and a ‘can-do’ approach; you are willing to get out of your comfort zone.

In addition, we ask for the following:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law or equivalent;
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar role within the financial services industry;
  • Extensive knowledge of the relevant laws and regulations (such as Wft, Wwft and Sanctions Law) and able to analyze and interpret how they could impact EMS;
  • You are trustworthy and discrete;
  • Excellent - verbal and written – communication skills in English, Dutch is nice to have, so is French.
