Are you a quality driven, energetic and result oriented Sales Professional, highly motivated to provide excellent service to our existing Clients? Do you have a commercial track record and are you well able to identify upsell opportunities? Would you like to be part of a customer focused, fast growing and successful company within Payments, being an ABN AMRO/ First Data joint venture? Then we have a unique position available for you within European Merchant Services (EMS)!




What this job is all about!

  • Acquire new Medium (Plus) Enterprise relationships by telephone, e-mail, face to face meetings and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and execute sales & account plans for new EMS Customers (Merchants).
  • Work closely together with an international team in multiple disciplines including Boarding and Credit & Risk.

Getting the right things done!

  • Build and manage a new business pipeline directly (i.e. by targeting clients) as well as through channels (i.e. Payment Service Providers).
  • Track and trace new business by means referrals, own network, clients visits, use of direct marketing tools and other techniques available.
  • Participate in on-site meetings with partners to strengthen the relation and increase the potential to receive leads from them.
  • Analyze and proactively contact clients after set up to upsell products or expand existing businesses.
  • Be proactive in consultative selling, suggesting best practices which include using the right payment options, increase of conversion rates or any other improvements that can help the merchant grow the volumes processed by EMS rapidly.
  • Help Merchants with any payment related questions.
  • Collect, capture, analyse market challenges, industry opportunities and competitor activity in an accurate and effective manner to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Closely follow trends and new product functionalities in the payments industry.
  • Manage the effective handover to the relationship consultants.

You are part of the SME Sales Team and you work closely together with other departments, being mainly Boarding, Compliance, Credit & Risk, Legal, Marketing and Pricing. We would like you to have!

  • Minimum Bachelor degree;
  • At least three years sales experience in a professional environment; preferably (but not necessarily) within Payments;
  • Proven track record in achieving targets in a B2B service based industry;
  • Experienced negotiator with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Truly passionate about your work, ambitious and result oriented;
  • Client and quality focused, able to sell value to our clients;
  • Proactive approach to work and eager to take ownership of your workload;
  • Social and helpful team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, additional languages are preferred.
