What this job is all about

  • Manage, grow and retain Customer base;
  • Identify cross and up-sell opportunities and pro-actively sell new services and products to existing Customers;
  • Develop and execute implementation- and account plans for each account, identifying the core Customer requirements;
  • Organize and lead regular account reviews; measuring active products, volumes and service levels;
  • Identify revenue enhancement, cost savings, and other optimization opportunities for Customers using the available payment data;
  • Work closely with other departments like Compliance, Integration Management, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations and Risk;
  • Demonstrate flexibility and commitment in serving EMS Customers providing a consistent, positive and effective sales experience;
  • Take ownership for the end-to-end service delivery;
  • Collect, capture, analyze market challenges, industry opportunities and competitor activity in an accurate and effective manner to identify new sales opportunities;
  • Regular travel to your Dutch merchants;
  • International travel for trade show and possibly merchant visits.

Description of a day in the life of the Relationship Manager Corporate Clients at EMS

You plan your day and week balancing relationship development,  sales, service delivery, administration and networking. Typically, you will be busy working on account plans, managing relations and visiting  Corporate Clients.

You are part of the Relationship Management Team that currently consists of 3 Relationship Managers. You work closely with other departments and colleagues, specifically the Integration Managers, Pricing Analyst, Compliance Manager, Manager Legal and Operations. EMS offers a ‘work hard, play hard environment’; a positive, social ambiance and short/ direct communication lines.

 

We would like you to have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree;
  • At least two years’ experience in relationship management and consultative selling to Mid to Large corporate accounts, preferably (but not necessarily) within Payments;
  • Ambition, self-motivation, drive, enthusiasm and commitment to close deals and achieve targets;
  • Strong customer focus; you are highly motivated to align Customer needs and EMS’ solutions;
  • Self-awareness and an attitude of critical self-reflection;
  • Eagerness to learn and grow;
  • Proven ability to network and build relationships;
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact successfully at all levels;
  • Creative, ‘out of the box’, problem solving attitude;
  • Passion for your work and eagerness to take ownership;
  • Ability to thrive in a changing, international organisation;
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills;
  • Fluency in English.
