Do you have a track record in successful business process management? Are you typically more a Builder than a Maintainer and are you highly motivated to further build the process management function within a fast growing company within the Fintech industry? Then we have a challenging position available at European Merchant Services (EMS)!



Getting the right things done!

  • Identify and create end-to-end business processes and (re)design processes in Change projects.
  • Ensure that business process outcomes are in harmony with EMS strategic goals.
  • Ensure continuous process optimization within the organization in order to optimize efficiency, quality and merchant satisfaction and to reduce risk and costs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives; work together with EMS departments to define pain points and execute process improvements.
  • Translate process objectives into Key Performance Indicators per end-to-end process and monitor these KPI’s.
  • Model end-to-end business processes and keep process descriptions up-to-date, both in the process management tool and on intranet.


    Description of a day in the life of a Process Manager at EMS!

    You come in and start your day with excellent Nespresso cappuccino. During the morning you lead the workshop about the EMS Client boarding process; you question and challenge the attendees and together you decide on where improvements can be made. After an enjoyable lunch with colleagues, you review and adjust a process description. Before going home you do the final preparations for the next day’s meetings.

    You will report directly to the Manager Projects & Technical Solutions. EMS offers a ‘work hard, play hard environment’; a positive, social ambiance and short, direct communication lines. Team members challenge each other on results, agreements and other forms of output. 


    We would like you to have! 

  • Bachelor or Master degree;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within Financial Services or Consultancy firm;
  • Exemplary Process Management skills; able to propagate these in the business;
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Customer Excellence;   
  • Experienced in mapping complex business processes using business modelling tools;
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills; able to question and challenge (senior) management;
  • Customer and quality orientated;
  • Helicopter view; able to see the bigger picture, the connections and the operational impact;
  • Analytical, creative and able to think outside the box;
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail; and determination to meet deadlines;
  • Energetic, proactive, positive minded individual;
  • Pragmatic, persistent, solution-oriented and result driven;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
